Employment restraints are how you stop your team poaching your customers, stealing your data or competing with your business. Your customers and your data are usually the most valuable part of your business. So don’t let it go unprotected. When you hire key staff, you also need to check what restraints they had with their previous employer. They may not be able to approach customers for a set period. Know what that is.
